Dear CLife Church Family,
We are so blessed to have you as part of our church. God is doing some amazing things in our valley and we are so excited to be a small part of that!
We wanted to provide an update on the status of purchasing a piece of property in Fairlawn for a more permanent future church home.
A quick recap of the process so far:
Our council has been looking for more permanent options for our growing church family for the last 2+ years. Last fall, we found a piece of property that we sensed God was opening a door for. (It is located on the corner of Peppers Ferry & Belspring Road in Fairlawn.) We had a Members Informational Meeting in October and then took a members vote during the following 2 weeks. The overwhelming majority of member votes were in agreement that this piece of land seemed to be something God was opening up. The Church Council decided that we should continue to proceed with the purchase as 'Phase 1' in a multi-step process to eventually construct a permanent church home on this location.
Since that time, our council has been working tirelessly to complete all necessary due diligence to ensure that this property will suit our needs. We have contracted with a local engineering firm and other experts to investigate the feasibility of building a suitable structure on this property. So far, all signs have been extremely positive and we continue moving forward. We will receive a final report from the engineering firm in approximately one month. This will be the final aspect of due diligence that the Church Council feels is necessary before closing on the property.
While we have been investigating the feasibility of the property, we have simultaneously been doing the necessary work to obtain the financing we need. A snapshot of the finances involved in this purchase are as follows:
Purchase Price: $360,500
Cash to be paid at Closing from Church: $180,250 (50% of purchase price)
Amount financed: $180,250 (50% of purchase price)
Monthly Payment: $1885.51
The Church Council feels comfortable with these numbers. Because of the stewardship of resources since CLife began 5 years ago, we are so thankful to be able to pay 50% cash, which still maintaining our Operating Budget and Emergency Fund Savings! Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity over the past 5 years!
It is the Church Council's desire to pay the balance of the land off as quickly as we can to be able to move on to Phase 2 in the process of a more permanent home. Will you pray along with us that we will be able to pay off the balance of the loan quickly? If you would like to give any amount towards this at any time, you can give online HERE and choose 'Building Fund'.
Please let us know if you have any questions at all! We can't wait to see Kingdom Fruit for many years to come from the steps God is leading us in at this present season!
Love & Blessings,
