Worship Team Basic Expectations


Our Mission is to create an atmosphere where people can experience God through music, sound, visuals and video.

Role

A group of people that are gifted playing musical instruments, and through their instrument will help people connect with God and others.

Responsibilities

•Be a team player
•Be committed to grow
•Be flexible
•Practice at home the songs for the specific week that you are schedule to serve.
• Attend Thursday rehearsal when schedule (arrive 10 minutes before practice starts to setup your gear and be ready)
•Sunday Service rehearsal (Arrive 10 minutes before practice starts to set up gear and be ready)

Schedule/Planning Center

  • Confirm/Accept on Planning Center your availability to serve on a specific week.
  • Blockout dates on Planning center that you are not able to serve on a specific week.
  • Check Song Tutorials & Practice at home the songs for the specific week that you are scheduled to serve. Please use Planning Center tutorials for specific songs.
  • Review Vocal Assignment: Every week there will be a vocal assignment document that will help not only our vocalists, but also our sound and video team to be prepared who will be leading a specific part of the songs

Personal Growth:

Weekly Devotionals: Read the Worship Team weekly devotionals that are sent weekly to the worship team.
Regularly Attend Sunday Morning Services: We want you to be part of church, not only when you are serving on the worship team, but on your 'off' weeks as well! (We would love to see you at least 2 Sundays per month.)
Be connected in a Community Group: We would love for you to be part of a group where you can be known and also get to know others.

Appearance Guidelines

Are we helping or hindering others to worship Christ?

- Remember that things look different on stage! You'll be in an elevated position in front of the congregation for an extended time.
- Always wear modest clothing
- No transparent clothes, excessive skin showing, skin-tight clothing, spandex, leggings or sweatpants.
- Ladies - avoid skirts above the knee, low-cut tops
- Men - avoid shorts above the knee, sagging or too tight pants
